Insular Health Care (IHC) kicks off its employee wellness fair with a theme, “A healthier you for good” held last July 27, 2018 at the IHC Head Office in Makati City.
The event was organized in line with the company’s promise in empowering every Filipino on healthy living and disease management so that he can live a healthier and happier life.
With this, the committees composed of Human Resources Department, Medical Department and Marketing and Sales Support team lined up several activities such as series of infographic materials that are helpful tips to IHC employees with topics about 10 Foods that Reduce Stress; 9 Ways to Manage Stress; 10 Ways to Exercise at the Office and 18 Ways to be more Positive at Work. For having a healthier and happier team, results to a more productive workforce.
In addition, IHC invited guest speakers, its very own Assistant Vice President and Medical Director, Dr. Arturo Libao who highlighted the “MEE slogan” – Managing Stress, Engaging in Physical Activity, Eating healthy. Another is IHC’s lifestyle partner, Herbal Life International Wellness Coach Ms. Disnee Dioso who emphasized the importance of nutrition and tips on how to achieve a healthier lifestyle.
IHC President and Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Ma. Noemi G. Azura gave a short closing remarks and the activity ended with a healthy and nutritious lunch meal for everyone.

Sugar Industry Foundation, Inc. (SIFI) has renewed its health care agreement with Insular Health Care, Inc. for the health care coverage of its 2,085 sugar workers and their dependents from its member organizations in the Philippines. The contract signing ceremony was held at the SIFI Headquarters in Silay City, Negros Occidental last July 23, 2018. The event was attended by signatories of both companies, SIFI President Ms. Edith Villanueva , Insular Health Care President & CEO, Ms. Noemi Azura and was witnessed by Insular Health Care Chairman of the Board Ms. Nina Aguas. Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation (NWTF) recently partnered with Insular Health Care, Inc. for outpatient health care coverage of its over 2,000 employees from 121 branches all over the Visayas and Mindanao regions. Insular Health Care (IHC) joined this year’s Korean Product Festival, a local annual event showcasing Korea’s culture. It was held last July 13-15, 2018 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia, Pasay City.
The 3-day activity was organized by the Overseas Korean Traders Association (OKTA) composed of different Korean companies engaged in electronics, food, finance, construction, health and beauty products.
As one of the event’s sponsors, Insular Health Care showcased its products for the retail and corporate market and promoted health and wellness as part of its brand awareness activity. Over 100 participants visited the Insular Health Care booth and lucky visitors received corporate premium items and exciting giveaways.

Insular Health Care (IHC) held a one-day onsite Annual Physical Examination (APE) and wellness fair to DOST-Advanced Science and Technology Institute (DOST-ASTI) employees last June 08, 2018 at the DOST-ASTI Head Office in UP Diliman, Quezon City.
More than 200 workers of DOST-ASTI had their routine medical examination as part of their comprehensive HMO program with IHC.
In line with its health and wellness campaign, Insular Health Care brought in its lifestyle partners such as Erase Solutions Philippines, Mary Kay, Inc., Trianon International, Inc., George Optical, Inc., Herbal Life and Human Heart Nature. They provided value added experience thru promotions of their products and services. Most of the employees availed of the free services offered such eye check-up, facial, massage, vitamins and energy drink.

“Let’s Rock and Bowl!” The Insular Health Care employees bowling tournament kicked-off last May 25, 2018 at the Superbowl, Makati Cinema Square, Makati City.
Four (4) hyper teams eagerly competed with each other. In the end, the Small and Terrible (Team 4) was declared winner.
Other highlights of the event were exciting games such as “Cash-ya! Kaya!” and “Minute to Win It” where the non-bowling players got a chance to play and win cash prize. Adding to the fun was the raffle draws that excited the IHCI employees.
Everyone had fun and had a good time. Others took non-stop photos (“selfies” and “groufies”) to commemorate the event.
IHC President and Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Maria Noemi G. Azura graced the event and also participated in the bowling competition.
The night ended with a sumptuous buffet dinner and enjoyed by everyone. This summer activity was hosted by Operations and Technology Head, Mr. Rogie Niño and made possible by the organizing committee, aimed to foster camaraderie and positivity among IHCI officers and staff and provide respite from the hustle and bustle of daily grind.

As the New Year unfolds, new challenges and new opportunities also arise. With this, Insular Health Care held its Agency Sales Kick Off last January 26, 2018 at Insular Health Care Building in Makati City.
Mr. Welhelm Teodoro Castroverde, Head of Agency and Brokers Sales welcomed the participants and gave his wisdom on dealing with life changes and challenges. Mr. Pedie Antonio, Head of Marketing and Sales Support presented the updates, initiatives and programs for 2018. He also launched the 2018 sales incentive programs. These are the “Lifestyle Rewards Showcase” quarterly sales drive and “Lakbayan: Hongkong & Macau” trip incentive. These sales incentive programs are intended to excite the sales agents towards achieving their goals for the year.
Mr. Bobby Arroyo, President and COO graced the activity and thanked everyone for their sales contribution in 2017. He presented the historical sales growth of the company over the years. He also reminded everyone to continue growing and expanding and concluded by appealing for everyone’s continued support and bigger achievements in 2018.
Motivational Speaker and Success Coach, Randy Esguerra gave motivating and life changing perspectives to the sales force. He gave helpful tips in selling by using the new definition of ABCs (Attunement, Buoyancy and Clarity). He stated that agents should not use the old ABCs (Always Be Closing) as a strategy but rather strive harder to identify what their customers want and need with the products and services that they can offer. Coach Randy also mentioned that sales people must excel in customer-care and after-sales service using technology, the same way that customers quickly adapt to constant changes in the world today.
Adding fun in the activity, emcees Thirdy Abenoja and Maricel Botin raffled off minor and major gift items. Pleasant refreshments capped the afternoon sales activities and enjoyed by all participants. Cheers to Sales Excellence in 2018.IHC Christmas for All Seasons!
IHC Christmas for All Seasons!

Insular Health Care, Inc. (IHC) celebrated its Christmas Party last December 15, 2017 at Insular Health Care head office in Makati City with a theme, “Christmas for All Seasons”.
Before the program starts off, some went to the photo booth and took selfies/groupies while the others busied their selves eating pop corns.
As the program begins, IHC Senior Manager and Actuary Head, Irene Sicadsicad led the opening prayer followed by the short Christmas message of IHC President and COO, Bobby Arroyo.
The night was filled with excitement and colorful get-up wherein master of ceremonies, Rudolf Capati (from Sales and Marketing) and Jinky Lanuza (from Medical Operations) took turns in complementing everyone for the cooperation and support since each Division came in based on their chosen costume.
The Administrative Operations (composed of Members Relations, Accounting, Treasury and General Services Department) showcased the Walt Disney’s animated movie “101 Dalmatian”. The Sales and Marketing catwalk with their glitz and glam attires looking like real fashionistas. The Office of the President and Technical Operations known as OP/Tech, (composed of Actuarial, Human Resources, Management Information System and Legal Department) giddy up with their western cowboy look. While Medical Operations (composed of Servicing, Underwriting, Claims and Clinic Department) presented a summer vibe which made the audience groove along the feel-good Hawaiian tune and later announced as the winner for the group theme.
As the tradition goes, special number of the IHC’s newly hired employees that were categorized into three groups were one of the highlights of the night. The crowd cheerfully supported each team and enjoyed their performances. Given the limited time, they were able to entertain everyone. Group 3 is the announced winner composed of OP/Tech team.
Fun games such as “Guess that Song” and “Cash-Sya,” were enjoyed by all highlighting with exciting prizes. Raffle draws and exchange gifts made everyone happy with the cash and gift items they received.
Alexander Erese, Jr. (OP/Tech), dressed as a country cowboy and Angelita Corpuz (Admin Op), dressed as Cruella de Vil (from the 1961 film 101 Dalmatians) won as Stars of the Night. Special mention to Dr. Eleanor Tañada, IHC Vice President and Chief Medical Director who graced the event.
The celebration ended with a sumptuous buffet for everyone leaving another moment to remember!
